Frequently Asked Questions

What makes EPH different from other area non-profits concerned with providing aid to the homeless?

EPH is unique in that it is the only local organization that offers families a home, at no charge, without a time restriction and provides those families with in-depth case management.

What are the requirements to be considered for an EPH home?

Individuals must be homeless, have children, be willing to be part of EPH’s program and abide by its rules. Background checks are run on adult applications and they go through an interview process. For the safety of EPH volunteers and other clients, no individual with a criminal background is accepted into the program.

Are participants required to attend church?

No family is required to go to church, but it is encouraged to attend a church of its choice.

Are EPH’s homes found in a certain part of Green Bay?

EPH wants its families to blend into the community they reside in. Because of this, homes are spread throughout the Green Bay area. This distribution leads to less prejudice against families receiving assistance and allows for a smoother transition back to stable housing.

What is the success rate with these families?

EPH has helped over 400 families escape homelessness since it has been founded. Recent experiences have shown that one year after completing the program, 85% - 100% of the families have remained in stable housing.
